What is neccessary for you a Website or Social Presence?

It's great if you are reading this because you really care about your business. Let's dive in and see what do you need for your business?

A website or Social Presence?
Many people misunderstand it. They think being online means having a live cool website. But, this is not like this you need to know if a website is really your solution or not?

Let me explain this with an example.

Suppose, You own an Auto Garage in any city or any area. You have a great website with great design. You are just a small business who doesn't sell anything online but provide your great service locally. Your website has all the details about you.

One day someone is going through the area where your business is located. Blame his lady luck, his bike stopped working for some reasons.

What do you think what is he gonna do?
Ask around. Right?

Nope. The days of asking strangers are gone now. He will just take his mobile out and Google "auto garage near me".

He will just go to the nearest store and that's it.

• He is not gonna check for the website of that auto garage.
• He is not gonna see what videos your business have on youtube.
• He doesn't care how good looking your website is.

He just wants his bike working.

In the above case, he doesn't want to know anything about your past your story or anything he just wants his bike running like before. When he searched did he got your details? Did he find your business on Google?

No. Then you don't need your great informative website you need a social presence. In this type of business, customer don't want to know about your story or how you do what you do? He just wants his problem solved as quickly as possible.

If you are in this type of business then you don't need a website. you need to build your social presence.

Now the second type of business.

Suppose you need a photographer for your marriage. You are searching online for any great photographer to give him this responsibility of capturing your precious one time moment your marriage.

Now, you are not just gonna search on Google and give the work to the first person you find in the results. Because you don't just need your work done but you need that work to be great. You need a person who can do the work in the way you want. So, you will search for the person you will review many photographers. You will check their social profiles, website, testimonials, previous works, best work, pricing, timing and much more.

In the above case if you are a photographer then you need a website and social presence both. If you just have a website it may seem that the data your website has maybe fake. So, the customer will try to find your presence on social media. Your daily activities, what is your clients are saying on you? Your reviews, your Pricing and of course your work. Your customer should feel that the best photographer for him/her is you. And to make your customer feel like that you need your website organized in a specific way and for that, you need a website first.

Above are two cases I come across in my journey of digital marketing and I really feel that first, you should know what is your business is about? What you are providing? Why you are doing that?

After those questions answered you will have a clear idea on what you need a website or social presence. Don't just copy others and make a website when you are not even in need of one.
